Luminescent liquids are liquid substances that emit light when exposed to ultraviolet or other radiation due to fluorescent or phosphorescent compounds. They are used in chemical analysis, security applications, medicine, biotechnology, optical research, decorative lighting, and the entertainment industry.
The main types of luminescent liquids include fluorescent liquids (which emit light immediately when exposed to radiation, such as solutions of rhodamine or fluorescein) and phosphorescent liquids (which store energy and continue to emit light after the radiation source is removed, such as compounds based on strontium or rare-earth elements).
They are widely applied in forensics (detection of biological fluids and counterfeit documents), biology and medicine (microscopy markers and contrast agents), the automotive and construction industries (luminescent paints and lubricants for leak detection), as well as decorative and entertainment technologies (glowing beverages and blacklight effects).
Among the leading global manufacturers of luminescent liquids are Thermo Fisher Scientific (USA), Merck Group (Sigma-Aldrich) (Germany), Radiant Color (Belgium), DayGlo Color Corp (USA), and Keystone Aniline (USA).
If you operate your own production of luminescent liquids and are looking for the optimal solution for dosing your products, we offer the most advanced electronic dispenser for luminescent liquids — Luminescent Liquids.
This unique dispenser is fast, highly precise, and professionally handles the dispensing of all chemical liquids. Additional key advantages include an intuitive interface and easy setup.
